Jill Pagano's blogI dare you...BodyBed Rolling and shouting YES!By Jill Pagano on Oct 4 2007 - 12:08pm So in my last post, I joked about trademarking the BodyBed Method. Scroll down a few posts if your not sure what I'm talking about. Well, I have diligently been BodyBed Rolling and I am hooked. Honestly. My mornings wakeups have greatly improved by rolling, sloshing and stretching my body....even before I "get up". Wouldn't your morning feel a bit more friendly by spending just a few minutes connecting to your body's sensations versus popping (or slugging) out of bed in your usual way? Are you willing to try something new...for just a few minutes in the morning to see if YES, you can CREATE a body that feels good? I dare you... try it for 5 days...BodyBed Rolling...and let me know what you think. That way, when I'm on Oprah, Evening Magazine and the Today Show promoting the benfits of BodyBed Rolling you can say..."hey, I knew her when". For the month of October , in Classic Nia classes we'll be studying Stimulation. Stimulation in the body and also, stimulating our life. My intent with this focus is to guide you into new areas with your body and also new experiences within your life. Let's take some risks in October! So my question is: How often do you welcome in new information? Are you willing to try something new and receive whatever benefits it brings? As a student of the *Spiraling Up* life, I find life so exciting (and stimulating) when I say "yes", venture out and do something new...maybe even more than once. Write and tell me about you experience with saying YES! I want to hear from you. Your Bed is Good for More than Just Sleeping...but you knew that!By Jill Pagano on Sep 25 2007 - 7:50pm There are a number of things I like to do in my bed. Sleeping is high on the list. The other thing is to make myself feel good prior to getting up. No... you don't need to R-rate this post...getcha' mind out-of-the-gutter! I like to stretch. reposition myself. Stretch. Hang on to the headboard, twist like a pretzel and stretch. Wiggle, flop and stay. Stretch. I find the bed is the perfect place to sense my body in many, unique positions that I would not feel comfortable doing on the floor. For one thing, the bed is softer than the floor, so I can prop myself up on my elbow without pain. The bed is also off the floor, so I can hang parts of my body off it. I particularly like hanging my head. The bed is also warm and incredibly convenient...I can nurture the needs of my body, sense how great it feels to move and stretch without having to even get dressed...whoops... TMI (too much information!) Come on', try it! What better way to start the day, tune into your body and stay in bed a little longer! I'd love to hear from you. Tell me how does your body feel before you get up? What do you do to get your giddy up' going? (G-rated please!) Does Bed-Body Stretching (oooh, better trademark that!) work for you? Don't forget to join me next week (Wed. 10/3) for the Sore-to-Sensational workshop. You'll find even more ways to have fun and learn about what you sense in your body (whether in bed or not!) Much love and health, Jill The alarm clock rings for changeBy Jill Pagano on Sep 2 2007 - 7:40am The first time I looked at the clock it was 3:30am...to early to get up. I woke up again at 5:30am, grabbed the ice pack and laid back down. This radiating ache on the right side of my mid-back was creating a familiar "alarm clock" trick. By 5:45am I'm awake and down on the floor. I've got to move. Cradling myself, I rock, roll, unravel. There's no choreography or posture to remember. I'm moving guided by what my body is willing to explore and experiment. It's my time to slow way down and listen to the voice of my body--follow the "aahh" sensation. My goal is to Make This Pain Stop! and yet, I know the process of exploring the path to self-healing is my real journey. And I know I am not alone. How many of us are waking up with aches and pains, soreness and stiffness, less vital energy than we'd like? Sadder to me is the fact that many people powerlessly live with discomfort, resigned to hoping it will go away. Boldly, I stand here inspired to help people change that. If you are experiencing less health in your body than you want and you are looking for something...new...I invite you to my new class Sense-ational. It starts this Saturday at 9am. Please, invite someone who may need it. Lots of love.
