Contact Jill:  jill@niadivas.com or 206-999-1743     jill portrait crop.jpgIn 1996 at the height of her career as a hard-driving aerobics instructor and specialized personal trainer, Jill took a Nia class with co-founders Debbie Rosas and Carlos Rosas.  And in that moment, she reconnected with the joy of moving in a way that was comfortably athletic and filled with passion and personal expression. Overjoyed with the feeling of "this is for me" she completed her Nia White Belt in Dec. 1996 and began teaching in January of 1997. Over ten years from this paradigm shift and now a certified Black Belt Nia instructor, Jill loves bringing to others the opportunity to discover more joy, passion and personal expression through uncomplicated dance. In 2006, Jill began Nia at Youngstown and soon partnered with Lesley Tinker, and her webmaster husband, Don Tinker to create NiaDivas, Inspirational Fitness for an Exceptional You.   Jill shares her life with her adorable two little people" ages 7 & 9 and her computer engineer by day/ "rock star by night" partner Joel (listen to his music here

Nia Up Close & Personal @ Allstar WS

Join me every Tuesday in March for the Nia Up Close & Personal Series where we'll be practicing Nia's 52 moves--and then dancing.

The first 15 minutes of this 75-minute class are dedicated to the focus (52 moves) and then there is an hour of a classic Nia class.

This class is at Allstar Fitness in West Seattle, 2629 SW Andover St. Seattle WA 206-932-9999.$15 to drop-in or 3 for $39. OPEN to EVERYONE. You do not need to be a member to attend.

The Nia Love your Body Class is held the first three Thursday's of every month at Allstar Fitness in West Seattle. Open to EVERYONE! Thursday's Love your Body class is a traditional 60-minute Nia class empowering you to---love your body through dance!

Thursday's: Love your Body Series is open to all students (members and non-members alike!)

  • Week One: Loving the way you move to the music.
  • Week Two: Loving your body's energy
  • Week Three: Loving your personalized class. (this week)

Nia Up Close & Personal - Nia as a complete workout

Nia: Up Close and Personal is an ongoing series of individual mini workshop-style classes presented in conjunction with Allstar Fitness. They are held the first three Tuesday's of every month and designed to give you the opportunity to learn about and play with your body via the Nia Technique. For this month's series we'll explore "What Makes Nia's Unique" and how this positively influences and conditions our body.

  • Week One: Listen, Sense, and Dance--Nia's unique way of listening to the music
  • Week Two: Learn, Move, Energize- Nia's unique way of learning "the moves"
  • Week Three: 7 Cycles o f a Nia Class- Nia's unique way of creating a complete workout. (this week)

Presented in a unique "learning lab" format where discussion is encouraged, each participant will take away tools so they can experience a better workout with maximized conditioning that improves their overall class
